Intense Pulsed Light therapy of IPL could be the solution. It can be used to treat the face, chest, neck and hands whilst also improving pore size and skin texture.
Here’s the science bit…it works by heating the superficial and deeper skins dermal structure, whilst simultaneously cooling the superficial skin, stimulating a restorative process resulting in new collagen and elastin. This causes no injury to the skin.
A minimum of 6 treatments is required for effective results, and between two to four weeks between each treatment.
Acne bacteria contains naturally occurring porphyrins. Porphyrins is sensitive to the light filter used which activates porphyrin to create super oxide, super oxide kills bacteria. This treatment is carried out every two weeks until improvements are noted.

The number of sessions required depends on each individual person but can vary from 3 to 14.
It works by the laser light firing a beam, which is absorbed by the pigment ink, which causes a reaction fragmenting the ink into particles.
The body’s own immune system then breaks it down and gradually removes the ink.
The procedure is carried out over a number of sessions with six to eight weeks in between to allow it to disperse the pigment. There are many factors which depend on how many sessions are required and how the body breaks it down. A test consultation is carried out two weeks prior to any treatment booking.
